Lou Fusz Athletic Wins Second MO State Cup Title In A Row

On Saturday, June 11th, 2022, Lou Fusz Athletic won one more Missouri State Cup championship. Our U16 LFA Blue Star Mueller team went undefeated in the group stage with three consecutive victories. Next, they defeated Sporting Springfield 6 – 1 in the semi-finals. In the end, our Blue Star team won 3 – 0 against St. Louis Scott Gallagher in the final match. This triumph will allow our club to compete at the 2022 Midwest Regionals.

Matt Mueller, LFA Director of Coaching and Competition, shared his thoughts on his team’s performance and second consecutive victory. Mueller said, “I’m very proud of this group of players. They have come together and are a tight knit group of boys who sacrifice for one another. We have shown a special spirit which will hopefully spur us on for Regionals and Nationals.” There’s no denying Lou Fusz Athletic is not only about player development, but also team building and quality competition. We look forward to seeing this team represent our club at the upcoming Midwest Regionals.
