LFA Proudly Joins The Women’s Premier Soccer League
Lou Fusz Athletic is thrilled to reveal its new partnership with the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL). This year will see our new U21 WPSL team take on the pitch this coming weekend. Games will be played at our Lou Fusz Soccer Complex as well as in Iowa, Indiana, and Illinois. We cannot wait to see our top collegiate athletes representing our club at a higher level of competition.
Dan Gargan, LFA Managing partner, shared his thoughts about this historic event in the life of our club. Gargan said, “[our club] continues to offer our young ladies great opportunities for their development.” This is foundational to our club for it allows us to stay connected with our alumni. Moreover, Gargan’s vision of the future is for our club to provide our top talent with more training and games during summertime prior to the collegiate season.
Moreover, we’re delighted to announce Jeff Tottleben as our U21 WPSL team head coach. Coach Tottleben grew up in Roxana, IL. He earned a B.A. in Engineering Management from Missouri S&T. Additionally, he obtained his MBA from Northwestern University. Coach Tottleben holds a USSF C License. Tottleben has won four MO State cups back in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Also, he has reached the USYS National Championships in the summer of 2019.
Words cannot express the excitement behind this strategic partnership. We look forward to expanding the women’s soccer landscape in St. Louis. We wish our U21 WPSL team a great inaugural season!
